ON THE ROAD
When I was growing up, going to North Carolina and catching fireflies was the highlight of every summer (I didn’t realize until later that you can’t capture magic, and that’s why the bugs always died in the jars I had lovingly trapped them in. Sorry bbs) This summer I went to North Carolina and saw a single firefly from the side mirror of my car as I sat parked in a motel parking lot. That’s adulthood. Oh well.
